Fourth International Conference on Ship Manouvering in Shallow and Confined Water

23-25 May 2016, Hamburg, Germany

The 4th MASHCON "Ship Bottom Interaction" will be held from May 23rd to 25th, 2016 in Hamburg, Germany. The conference offers researchers and experts the possibility to discuss the latest developments in research and practice related to ship manoeuvring in shallow and confined water.

After successful conferences on bank effects (Antwerp, May 2009), ship - ship interaction (Trondheim, May 2011) and ship behaviour in locks (Ghent, June 2013), the 4th edition of MASHCON will pay particular attention to the interaction of ships with the bottom and will be organized by the Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute,  Flanders Hydraulics Research and Ghent University - Maritime Technology Division.

Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract of 250 to 300 words on topics related to ship manoeuvring in shallow and confined water to  before the extended deadline of 7 September 2015. More information can be found on http://www.mashcon2016.baw.de/
