World NAOE Forum 2014 - The Use of Big Data in Marine & Ocean Engineering

Big data is the term used to describe large and complex amounts of data that cannot easily be handled by traditional or conventional data processing applications. Big data will be increasingly featured in maritime research. The World NAOE Forum 2014 will focus on the challenges in marine and ocean engineering towards the use of big data. The Forum will provide presentations of practical examples of the use of big data and discussions on the current and future use of big data in marine and ocean engineering fields.

The standard language of the forum is English. The Keynote Lecture, however, is given in Japanese and is simultaneously translated into English. In other sessions no translation service will be available.
