The Maritime Safety Group provides an opportunity for all members to raise and discuss technical matters of interest and relevance to maritime safety through the Group Forum.
The work and activities of the Maritime Safety Committee will be reported regularly in the Forum. Members may also comment on the Committee’s work, or propose matters for its consideration

Harmonisation of Standards for Small Crafts operating in territorial and inland waters
Kenya is currently working on the ISO standards for small crafts with the intention to regularize operation of small crafts and promote safety culture. however an important segment has not been considered especially with the development off Marinas, enforcement of AIS need to be considered for vessel reporting to monitor water safety.
